SIAAIC&WAO HEALTH WALK AND RUN
Description
SIAAIC&WAO HEALTH WALK AND RUN will be held on October 4, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. at the XXXVII SIAAIC meets WAO National Congress in Milan, Italy. This initiative was created with the aim of raising awareness of the close connection between health, physical activity and environmental sustainability. An amateur run open to the public and to all participants of the Congress, with the aim of promoting a clear and scientifically based message: individual well-being is closely linked to environmental health and regular physical activity, which are also fundamental elements in the prevention and management of allergological and immunological diseases.
The initiative, conceived as a moment of aggregation and awareness, is part of the Congress program as a symbolic and popular event, aimed at emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle. In fact, sporting activity, even at the amateur level, represents a valuable tool in the prevention and control of allergic and respiratory diseases, such as asthma and allergic rhinitis, conditions often influenced by environmental factors such as air pollution, air quality and the presence of allergens
The running route, which will take place within Mauro Capponi Park, one of the city’s green areas adjacent to the Congress Venue, aims to highlight how air quality and lung health are affected by our lifestyle and the environment around us. In this context, regular practice of physical activity such as running not only promotes respiratory health, but also helps promote a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle.
The SIAAIC&WAO HEALTH WALK AND RUN has a registration fee of 15,00 €uro and the proceeds will be donated to Azione Contro la Fame, an international humanitarian organization that has been active for more than 40 years and a leader in the fight against hunger and child malnutrition.
Participating means not only taking care of your health, but also sending a loud and clear message about the importance of solidarity. It is a concrete gesture in support of an organization like Azione Contro la Fame, which strives every day for a more just and hunger-free world.
Participants can decide between two variations of the event:
– Walk: 2.5 km
– Run: 5.0 Km (double loop of the circuit)
Registration is limited and will be possible by September 30. By registering, you will be able to pick up your personalized initiative kit at the Info-Point Desk you will find at the Congress Venue (Quark Hotel) by October 3 at 5:00 p.m. or on the morning itself at the meeting point for departure.
Join us for a morning of health, positive energy, solidarity and respect for our planet: we’ll be waiting for you in front of the Quark Hotel entrance (Via Lampedusa 11a – Milan) at 7:00 a.m.! (Metro Verde 2 stop: Abbiategrasso).
